We're in a Depression, Will Healthcare Provide Free Zoloft?

One of my best friends, college graduate Dreidel Bagelwicz (he's Joooooish), is somewhat interested in going into law. He works as a paralegal at the moment, and he told me he might apply for law school in the upcoming years. I told him that I'd read a lot on the depression of the law industry, and how law students were suing (typical) their schools for fudging numbers on their employability estimates. Put simply, law graduates are having trouble getting jobs these days. He said he knew of the situation, and that was the end of the conversation. Well, Dreidel, if you're reading this, I have great news for you! You DO have job opportunities after law school! True, those lucky students go to UCLA which is ranked 15, but still I do believe there is hope for you. One day, you too may be able to drive some old guy's lexus around some traffic jam.

Pretty cool, but to be honest, this is sort of old news. Over 4 years ago I installed a little program on my laptop that was an alarm. When activated, any person who did not properly de-activate it would set off the alarm, which would simultaneously take a picture through the webcam and send an email with the picture attached to my personal email. Economist: Good news, we're officially in a depression. Well, there's two ways to go when you hit rock bottom... up, or suicide. My bet: the American economy doesn't have the balls to commit suicide. I didn't write about it when it happened, because I didn't care much and I didn't think you all would care either, but there was a time when a lot of violence was being blamed on tea-bag hers (I did write about that). A census worker's suicide was blamed on the political right and used as proof of escalating wingnuttery. On the right, they're still waiting for apologies, aren't they. Well they were also blaming the firebombing of Rep. Russ Carnahan's campaign office on righties, which I found to be more feasable but without proof, it's just demagogery. Turns out the culprit was a lefty and former staffer to Carnahan. So when a muslim cab driver in NY was brutally attacked recently, of course the left practiced some restraint until the facts cleared up. Who am I kidding, the usual suspects jumped on "islamaphobia" on the right contributing to the attack, when the police confirm it was a man who works for Park 51, the group involved with the mosque near ground zero. Glenn's got the scoop in the same link above, as does the blog American Power (sorta a redundant name, I think... let's take it one step furter. Male American Power, booyah suck it feminists!).

Allah introduces us to a new hilarious political candidate, who as he notes, doesn't fit in the same category as Basil Marceaux or Alvin Greene perhaps. Read the link above to get some better commentary, but watch the video and see for yourself what kinda guy we're dealing with here. Yesterday I laid out my proposal for the abolition of marriage as a state institution. One of my favorite commenters, Harry Potter (I assume that's what HP stands for), gave me a virtual high five, and shared that he too shares that sentiment. Today, in an interview continuing from yesterday, Red Eye's Greg Gutfeld  also came out in favor of abolition. He must read my blog (Welcome, Greg)! When asked about gay marriage, he responded:

But you know what, whatever makes you happy and doesn’t hurt anybody — which sounds really contrived — is basically the way it should be, in my mind."

Noted pervert and proponent of authoritarianism observes what seems all too obvious to everybody else. NY is too expensive to film, says Woody Allen. And as Hollywood gets more and more expensive and restricting, many production companies are picking up shop and taking it elsewhere (like Vancouver, for example). If you want people to invest in your jurisdiction, maybe try having a business friendly climate.

Other examples include The Other Sister, Benny and Joon, and of course Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. Oh so where was I? Sean Penn is lame, right. Well today, surprisingly, I've got to give it to him. He is very, very brave. I'm not talking about how he "speaks truth to power" and loves communism, that's standard Hollywood fare. No, I'm talking about his decision to transition into a woman as a 50-something. I always knew Princess Buttercup was a lesbian, why else would she reject the charming Prince Humperdink? Well Robin, you've got your wish; here's Shawna Penn!

Sean really gave his detractors some ammunition with that shot. On the other hand, Yoko Ono, who I have hated for my entire conscious life, has completely redeemed herself. She sang at the MoMA, intimately engaged with the crowd and uploaded the video for all to see. I have never appreciated "modern art," because to me, it was usually like, one little black dot in the center of an outrageously large white canvas or something retarded like that. This disdain for "modern art" is strongly tied to the male Vikings in my family, starting roughly with my paternal grandfather. My grandmother, who LOVES modern art (she has the quirkiest, most awesome sense of style evah) dragged my grandfather to the Guggenheim art museum a long time ago against his will. When they got there, my grandmother quickly lost (ignored is probably better) my grandfather, but eventually she noticed he was missing. She looked around and found a crowd gathered around one piece, listening intently to the tour guide. Upon closer inspection, she noticed that the tour guide was my grandfather, and was feeding the crowd complete bullshit (which they eat right up). "You see, those lines represent sexual repression, and that red splotch signifies the blood spilled in the fight for civil rights." My grandmother never made him go back to the art museum again. That sort of sabotage behavior is evident in my character, like when my mom asks me to do the laundry and I make sure to fuck it up so she never asks me to do it again! Thanks Gramps!

It's unfair, but it just sucks that it fits the opposition narrative of an out-of-touch big wig who'd rather play golf than check the gulf. I'd be more sympathetic if his staunch defenders who wallow in Obamapity weren't the same partisans attacking Bush for similar activities. It's all partisanship though, and it's dumb. To be honest, the only reason I linked to this post was so I could make fun of golf, because it's the lamest sport out there. While on the topic of golf, Tiger Woods Taiwanese animators are at the cutting edge of the new media. I've seen a bunch of their animations, and I don't get what the big deal is, but I love Taiwan and thus, enjoy stories of their success. My HTC Incredible phone (which is aptly named) is also made in Taiwan (HTC is a Taiwanese company). 

The craziest car crash I've ever seen on tape, and the incredible part is that the guy didn't die on impact; he's apparently hospitalized in critical condition.

Steven Colbert tweets: "Iran may have a new weapon, but there's a bright side: they have to acknowledge Israel exists before they can attack it." He's hilarious, and all politics aside, he walks the walk when it comes to supporting the troops. He went to Iraq to tape his show with them, and he's welcoming them home as well. Unlike Code "We support the troops but not the war" Pink, who then go act in ways that severely hurt the troops (sometimes mortally), Steven Colbert does support the troops. Good on him.

Why They Call It The Silver Screen

As somebody who constantly makes things up (see yesterday's post about Owen Wilson's nose conspiracy), I feel not anger, but respect for this young woman. You got me, and if I was an insecure man, I'd go edit yesterday's post to make it seem like I knew your little "using white board to quit job" routine was a hoax. But I'm not insecure (please don't go check to see if I edited it, I didn't I swear). Apparently she's just a hot actress, once more confirming that attractive women in real life are either poppin' out babies at home like they should, or whoring it out in Hollywood. Don't fall prey to the myth that attractive women actually get jobs and do work, please.

Speaking of acting, the legendary James Caan of Bottle Rocket fame is one of those rare Hollywood conservatives. Never heard of Bottle Rocket? Ok, how about James Caan of Bulletproof fame? No takers? I think he was in the Godfather, I don't know if you've heard of that one. Whatever, Bottle Rocket's James Caan is a smart man, not because he's not a liberal, but because of this:

Damned straight. I hate listening to these assholes lecture about whatever the trendy cause of the week is. Perhaps they don't understand why it's called the silver screen. Silver tarnishes easily, it kinda sucks and gets awarded to second place. The celebrities of Hollywood are celebrities of the silver screen, because their importance to the world is secondary to that of people who are important in real life. That said, Rip Torn: Great actor or greatest actor? He played the best dodgeball coach of all time, but his character in Dodgeball can't compare to himself in real life. Apparently, he drunkenly broke into a bank he thought was his home while armed with a gun. This happened last year, at age 78. Bless him.

Now let me turn my sights to dumb musicians (if the two people I'm going to rail against can even be considered that). Katy Perry, I feel wrong to shit on you because it's just so easy, but the California Girls Gurls song is one of the worst things I've ever heard. I lived in California for two years, there were cute girls and ugly girls, just like anywhere else. You girls aren't special, if anything, many of you are vapid, flaky messes with inflated egos for G-d knows why. To be fair, the guys are similarly lame; lame is probably the best word to describe Cali culture. Tool is a good one to describe Cali people. Ok, I'm sorry to whatever Cali readers I have, you're not all bad, but if she's going to generalize the good, I'm going to generalize the bad. So Katy, you're both forgettable and deniable, and the hottest girls in your state are most likely from other states, or Asia on student visa. When The Beach Boys sang California Girls, I thought it was ok because they were complementing the ladies, but for you to sing a song about yourself like that... could it get any more self-centered?

Unfortunately, yes it can, and that brings us to number two, Travis (Travie now, apparently) McCoy. Your billionaire song is the whiniest, self-pityingest (I made up another word!) piece of garbage I've ever heard. It's more whiny and self-pitying than "Why don't girls date me, what did I do to deserve this, when will mom let me move out?" by <insert name of Jewish comedian here>. The lyrics, "I want to be a billionaire, so freakin bad" pain me every time I hear them. I hate to sound like a commie, but somebody who money is that important to kind of makes me sick. He wants to be "on the cover of Forbes magazine, smiling next to Oprah and the Queen." Well, Travie, how about working for that money? Instead of whining about how bad you want to be a billionaire, start a business or invest in one. Oprah is a self-made woman; granted the Queen is just a lucky asshole, but most billionaires don't get there by whining about how much they want to be one, and how if they were one they'd help the world be a better place. They are men of action (lies do not become them), so get a real job you hippie and grow up, TraviS. Your song is gay.

If we can create evolving artificial life, why couldn't somebody have created us? Maybe those religious fags are onto something... Are we just Sims?! WHO AM I? If there is a creator, I bet he likes Pink Floyd.

Jonas Brothers:

1. Jonas sews up his own leg because E.R. wait is too long. Never thought I'd say this about a Jonas, but this guy is pure, 100% 'Mrrkin man. Never mind that he's Swedish and thus, probably can't even pronounce Jonas (it might be like, Yonah or something; I don't know, am I even using the right stereotype here?). Damn Swedes and their delicious Swedish Fish!
2. George Jonas talks about the ground zero mosque. I know I've talked pretty extensively about the ground zero mosque before, but I think George Jonas talks about it better than I do so I'll leave it to him. He says everything I've been thinking, but am too inept to put into (English) words. It's a short article, and it's really damn good, just read it.

While on the topic of the mosque*, let's see what these two Canadian terrorists Muslims have to say about it. I know what you're thinking: "Canadian AND Muslim? How could it get any worse?" Let me tell you how: They're half Mexican (and not the legal kind). If they didn't have to go to American public school with all of us bigots, they certainly dodged a bullet; I know that in my high school, we would've knocked the turban off those mullets. Ah, yes, as I was saying, let's see what these two Canadian (LOL!) Muslims (scary and foreign!) have to say about the mosque: Um, Earth to White people: yeah, it's a provocation. When I say white people, I'm referring to the "stuffwhitepeoplelike" type of White person, of course. To paraphrase the article, "You are a dumb dumby if you think this is about holding hands and singing kumbayah, but that's not even the important thing to look at. Look at the $100 million and where it's coming from." Ok, how about a real quote, Reed.

It's a good article for sure, and I know I was poking fun of the authors, but definitely worth the time. There's a little philosophical overlap with the Jonas piece, but read it anyway for the parts that don't overlap. These guys seem legit, made more so by their awesomely named book titles, "Their Jihad... Not My Jihad" and "The Jew is Not My Enemy." You can find those on the shelf next to the female empowerment classic, "Overcooked Rice is Not a Legitimate Excuse for the Beatings," and of course, it's sequal "Battered Woman: 200 Pancake and Waffle Recipes So Good He'll Keep His Hands on the Table and Off You!" Cause pancakes and waffles are made from batter, so she's a battered woman, get it? I can't take full credit for that one (and I'm not sure I want to) so I'll give due credit for the battered woman joke to Forrington Emhouse.

Red Eye's Greg Gutfeld, on the other hand, was inspired by the story of the ground zero mosque; so inspired that he decided to create a project to build another bridge that needs building. Greg Gutfeld: I'm raising money to build a Muslim gay bar next to the Ground Zero Moqsue.

Paul Krugman apparently wrote an article bitching about Paul Ryan's Roadmap that I was too lazy to read, but I'll dishonestly assert that it was full of crap. I mean c'mon, anybody who wishes that our government functioned more like communist China doesn't have anything to say that I find particularly worth hearing... Oh, what's that? That's Thomas Friedman who does that? Excuse me for being unable to tell the difference between two jewbrals (jewish liberals) who work at the Times and have stupid facial hair. To be fair, at least Pauly K got a Nobel Prize (but so did Obama, so what's that really worth?). Back on topic though, Paul Ryan responded to Krugman's article, and since I like him and his plan, he gets a link and some free press, suck it Paul (Krugman, not Ryan).

Daniel/Christie 2012? No, not for office, but for a weird lesbian scene (granted Chrstie could take a time machine back to when she was young and spry). I meant THIS Daniels/Christie 2012... I wish. My friends and readers all know I love Chris Christie, half because of what he does, but mostly because of how he does it (check your math, Reed... How can you half love something, and then mostly love some other part of it? Two halves make a whole). Mitch Daniels on the other hand, is somebody who I find interesting and impressive, but haven't written or talked much about. He's quiet and not particularly charismatic, and he doesn't have the advantage of looking like a fat guy from New Jersey. On the other hand, he has undoubtably done better things with his state than possibly any other Governor, and his poll numbers show it. So that's why I give him the top of the ticket, and Christie the bottom.

I was told I'm getting an exclusive scoop about a new political campaign ad that should blow Basil Marceaux and Dale Peterson out of the water. I should be getting my hands on it later this week, just standby. Until then, here's a story of a plane steward (almost undoubtably gay, just guessing based on occupation) who cussed out his passengers and peaced out the emergency exit, only after first grabbing some beers to go. Awesome...

Obama Does Not Like Soylent Green

A few days ago, I wrote about my sister and how she thought Lady GaGa was saying "Bon Jovi romance" in her song "Bad Romance." My older brother read the post, and when I called him, he told me that he too heard some misleading lyrics. He heard that song "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz and the song goes, "I throw my hands up in the air sometimes sayin' ayo, gotta let go." Well my bro heard "ayo, Galileo" and figured, he was throwing his hands up in the air at the celestial bodies and thanking Galileo for his groundbreaking work in astronomy. When he found out that's not what Taio was saying, he didn't like the song quite as much, but now, like with Bad Romance, whenever I hear that song, I always say "Galileo" instead of gotta let go. It's a way cooler song if you do that.

Important classified information finally declassified. Thankfully, there was no WikiLeaks in the 1940's so all that mass panic was averted. I wonder what other alien-related business they're hiding from us!

How to avoid jail-time for your crimes: Become a transsexual. You might think that's useless information, because in your mind, you're not a criminal but guess again. There are over 4500 federal laws on the books and you have to know them all, because as we all know, ignorance of the law is not an excuse... unless you're a police officer, that is. Radley Balko writes a compelling piece on the subject, and goes in further depth to show that even when you know the law and the police do not, which can result in wrongful detainment, there are no consequences for the offending officer. Even though it's like, his job to know and enforce the law.

Full-body scanners have been saving images taken at a court house in Orlando... shit, now everybody who works for the TSA is gonna see that I pack my undies :(... But on the otherhand, if the TSA was using scanners to catch this supposed terrizt, I will gladly let them look at my sock-enhanced junk. Hopefully this guy was just a drunk trying to get his nicotine fix on an airplane, but if it's another terror attempt, that'd make an awful lot since Obama took office. The Middle East is more complicated than people make it out to be, myself included. Freelance reporter Michael J. Totten is somebody I relatively trust on Middle East issues, and he's just come out with another excellent piece. It's very long, but well worth the read, particularly if you want to inform yourself on another side of the Israeli psyche that doesn't get reported in the international media, regardless of politics. He and his interviewee also draw their own distinction between legitimate criticism of Israel (and there is plenty to be had) and anti-semitism. I think you will find them to be very fair, and the bottom line is that any "criticism" of Israel that does not afford Israelis normal human decency can be safely regarded as anti-semitic. Some good quotes below:

Most Israelis are here because they fled from Muslim and European countries. They don’t feel that either of those blocs have the right to lecture them about anything. Why should a country where your parents were expelled or killed have the right to tell you how to conduct yourself in a war against people who are trying to kill you today? This is something hardly any non-Israelis understand. They don’t understand how galling we find this.

Israelis are often accused of being arrogant, but they find it extremely arrogant for Europeans and Arabs to lecture them about morals, especially during a war. What has Israel ever done that is as brutal as what Europe did to the Jews, or what Arabs routinely do to even each other during armed conflicts?

Much of what is regarded as criticism is actually an assault. It is intended to wound and cause pain. It is intended to demonize. The way, for example, some people off-handedly accuse Israel of genocide, as if this is not even in question. This, to me, is obviously intended to be as hurtful as possible. I can’t even begin to explain to you how offensive the Nazi comparison is. It’s like a person who raped and murdered your child stands up in court and says you did it. That’s what it feels like. It’s difficult to even respond because it’s so unthinkably cruel to say something like that. To compare us to our worst enemies, enemies who decimated us, our fathers, our grandfathers within living memory—it’s not just that this isn’t within the realm of rational discourse, it isn’t even in the realm of human decency.

The issue of human decency is a big one. It may be difficult to define, but whenever criticism crosses that line, that, to my mind, is where anti-Semitism begins. Anti-Semitism ultimately is a refusal to accord basic human decency to the Jewish people. It’s a refusal to relate to a certain group of people with the common human decency with which you would relate to anybody else.

I'm linking to the piece again right here because I think it's that good and hope that maybe some of you might read it. Maybe I think it's so good because Brilliant People Agree With Me. While Orin Kerr's post is certainly valid, I actually don't feel that my positions fall in lock-step with Michael J. Totten's. I think he's far more knowledgable than I, and I keep a very open mind when I read him. He's educated me on many matters, dispelling preconceived notions (particularly in the case of the Lebanese) and making me wiser for it.

Abe Vigoda is Still Alive

I'd first like to express my gratitude towards Professor Jacobson over at Legal Insurrection for linking to me as his Blog of the Day. I'm flattered that somebody reads me besides my parents. Apparently, there was a "right-wing Woodstock" in Hollywood that we all just missed, with Hollywood's hottest A-list Republicans. How do you know you lost the culture war? When your headliners have been largely irrelevant for the better part of a score (that's Lincolnese for 20 years) and/or have been arrested for possession of cocaine. Gary Sinese is pretty freakin' awesome though (and no, he's neither irrelevent nor a coke-head). The party was hosted by a group called The Friends of Abe which Hollywood Reporter explains, "For those unfamiliar with the highly secretive club of conservatives in the entertainment business, the name refers to iconic Republican Abraham Lincoln, not Abe Vigoda." Abe Vigoda, thankfully, at the moment of my writing this, is still alive. For those who don't know who Abe Vigoda is, shame on you, but my suggestions are to start with Good Burger where he plays a lovable fry cook, and that episode of weird science where they turn Lisa into an old man (Vigoda plays the afformentioned old timer).

Anne Applebaum: Let me repeat what Reed the Viking has been writing about for the past few days. Ok, maybe she doesn't cite me by name, but she too warns against trusting Republicans when they claim to be fiscally responsible. She too agrees that Obama is far worse with spending than Bush or any president of recent decades (I think Obama is partial to the term unprecedented).

Please note, angry readers, that I am not citing these figures to claim that the Obama administration has done any better: On the contrary, the Obama administration is far more profligate than Clinton or Bush, terrifyingly so... But then, the Democratic Party does not call itself the party of small government. The GOP does.

You cannot pretend that the Republican Party has not supported big and wasteful spending programs -- energy subsidies, farm subsidies, unnecessary homeland security projects, profligate defense contracts, you name it -- for the past decade. Before the GOP can have credibility on any spending issues whatsoever, Republican leaders need to speak frankly about the mistakes of the past.

They also must be extremely specific about which policies and programs they are planning to cut. What will it be? Social Security or the military budget? Medicare or the Transportation Security Administration? Vague "anti-government" rhetoric doesn't cut it anymore: If you want a smaller government, you have to tell us how you will create one.

If it seems like I'm hating on Republicans today, maybe this is why: Jonas Brothers Heart Reagan. Proving once more that it is possible to be both a homosexual and a Republican, and at the same time giving me hope that the culture war has not been lost (I'm imagining 8 year old girls rocking this t-shirt or this t-shirt), Nick Jonas comes to the rescue. Seriously though, couldn't somebody cooler be a fan of the gipper, like Jay-Z or Neil Patrick Harris?

The proverbial iron ricebowl: Teaching in U.S. Public Schools. One of my Chinese teachers, a wise man of about 80 years (somehow he looked and acted 60) once told me that in Chinese, a man's rice bowl is his employment. That is to say, a rice bowl is a euphemism for a job. If you have been laid off, quit your job, or robbed of a means of livelihood (i.e.: athlete gets paralyzed), you can say your metaphorical rice bowl is broken. Government jobs and other jobs with high job security are referred to as an iron rice bowl. I have one; I can expect a paycheck every 1st and 15th of every month until my contract expires. I can be disciplined and fined, but ultimately, I'm still taken care of pretty well regardless of how competent I am. For teachers, it's even worse believe it or not. Former teacher Leonard Pitts' editorial in the Chicago Tribune breaks it down to the fundamentals and basically ends up sounding like my main man Chris Christie. The Teachers' Union is adversely effecting the ejikayshun ov r yooth. I had a lot of great teachers growing up (Mrs. Shea had a nice butt, Mrs. Frost was just plain hot, Mrs. Curtis banged the football team) but I also had some pretty fucking terrible ones, and I always wondered why everybody knew how bad they were, but nobody did anything about it.

Well, Japan is technically an island in the Pacific (Archipelago is more accurate, dumbass). Oh shit, I just realized... I'm Asian; I've got Russian ancestry (well, more like Ashkenazi Jew, prey of preference for actual Russians). I think I'll stick with the caucasian label, affirmative action works against asians and is sorta neutral towards honkeys. If only I was from South Africa, then I could fill the African-American bubble on my SATS all those years ago, thus getting into my dream school, staying motivated to succeed, and never signing a damn contract.

I love sharks; anytime anybody asks me what animal I'd be if I could choose one, I tell them I'd be an apex predator. If I had to choose an extant land animal, I'd probably be a tiger or a wolf or a bear... In the sea, I'd be a Greak White Shark, Orca (they don't call 'em Killer Whale for nothing) or Moby Dick (He's named Dick for a reason... he slangs that big thang like an oscar meyer). In the air, I'd be an 'Mrrkin Eagle (known to terrizts and hippies as a bald eagle) or some sort of genius, bespectacled owl. Now if we were to consider extinct animals, depending on time period I'd be a Dire Wolf, Smilodon (Sabre Toothed Tiger) or a T-Rex, RAWRRRR!!! Pretty obvious choices... is anybody still reading? Does anybody care :'(.

The Perfect Girlfriend

So last week, I started putting up pictures of scantily clad broads and I saw a huge uptick in my traffic... surprise surprise. I've come to terms with the fact that no matter how good I think I have written a post, you all just care about boobs. That's fine, I'll deliver the breasts. First, I'll make you read what I have to say though (please don't scroll to the bottom without reading, it hurts my feelings!). Maybe this will get you to read: We all know that SEX makes you smarter, but for those of you too nerdy to interact with real females, I've got even better news - Virtual sex might have the same benefits. I can't wait til they have virtual reality sex, and trust me, the first kinds of virtual reality WILL be sex-based. Sex leads industry, whether it be in the case of VHS or even the internet, sex is the forerunner in all. My favorite part of games like City of Heroes and World of Warcraft is creating my character, customizing how he looks and making it to my liking. Now imagine, you have a character creator where you can customize the virtual fuck-buddy... that is pure win, my friends. Don't worry, you don't have to imagine, I've imagined for you. I now take the pleasure in presenting my future virtual girlfriend! I've programmed her and designed her personality to personal taste.

I liked that song "Sex on Fire" which I assume to be about a bad night in Reno capped with a shot of penicillin, but that other song "Use Somebody" kind of makes me want to become a pigeon and just shit all over their concert schedule.

Cornell Law's Prof. Jacobson talks about the Religion of Context. He then writes here about Visconti's Law (an extension of Godwin's Law). As the good Professor himself notes, this is related to a Kafkatrap, which is linked and explained here. It's a long article, so I'll briefly explain the Kafkatrap, which is employed often to attack anybody who deviates from the lefty line (rightys use it sometimes too, but with less results). Basically, the accuser (A) will accuse the trap victim (B) of some charge that cannot be disproven (anti-semitism, racism, sexism, homophobic tendencies, etc.). A uses a variety of different models of the Kafkatrap to smear B, some examples being:

“Your refusal to acknowledge that you are guilty of {sin,racism,sexism, homophobia,oppression…} confirms that you are guilty of {sin,racism,sexism, homophobia,oppression…}.” - Kafkatrap Model A

So that's basically how the Kafkatrap works, beware of it and call it out when you see it. That's what they do to the Tea Party; Step One: Call them racist. Subsequently, they will enthusiastically deny the allegations. Step Two: Infer that their heated denials and hot tempers that are natural reactions to the incediary charges are further proof of their racism. It's that simple!

The real secret to getting rid of racism is very easy, of course. Morgan Freeman knows this open secret and drops it hard on some unsuspecting, stereotypical New York Jew (Mike Wallace). Put that in your conventional wisdom pipe and smoke it.  Mike Wallace's paternalistic, condescending attitude shines right through here, almost as conspicuously as James Cameron's in Avatar.

Print Me A Steak, Rare, With a Side of Mashed Taters

I wrote about NASA's new mission a few days ago (Muslim outreach if you don't recall) and I have some images of their newest photos that you can find here. I'll post the first one for you to get a taste of what the new NASA mission looks like.

I especially think that last one will soften their hearts, or unclench their fists as Obama would say. People love it when you compliment their cooking, so good job NASA!

Whenever I go home on leave, the popular line of the vacation goes something like this, "Dude, whatdya mean there's a 15 minute wait for a table? You're a fucking hero man!" My friends like to use the tongue-in-cheek "You're a hero" line all the time, and to be honest I started referring to myself as a hero or national treasure. It's funny to say, especially given that I was still in training when they started calling me a hero, but we all used appropriate dosage of sarcasm and of course, I don't actually think I'm a hero (but heroes never do, do they?). Why am I bringing this up? Some asshat retired Lt. Col. at the LA Times wrote an article headlined: Every soldier a hero? Hardly. I'm tempted to stay silent on this, as he only mentions soldiers (i.e., ARMY) but I assume he's just using a blanket term and means anybody in the U.S. Armed Services. I understand where the retired Lt. Col. is coming from, I really do. I know plenty of shitbags in the service who fuck around and don't give a rip about Alabama the U.S.. Personally, part of the reason I joined the service was for personal gain; The Navy would give me something I wanted (a job, training, education) and in return, I'd trade in 6 years of my life for them to do whatever the hell they want with. I still think I made the right decision, it was a fair trade, and though I'm not sure I'll re-enlist, the possibility exists for sure. So am I a hero? I don't think so. But what sir seems to gloss over is that when it comes down to it, everybody in the service is there because they volunteered, and maybe it's not a sacrifice for officers like him (but I do believe officers sacrifice at least as much), but it counts for something. Suppose you're a supply officer and your specialty is budgeting for the chow-hall. Shit hits the fan, you're still going to get a rifle and going to fight, whether you believe in the war or not. What I'm saying is not that everybody in the military is a hero, because that'd be false. What I am saying is that I find nothing objectionable about civilians regarding the military as a heroic institution, full of brave young men and women. Because as we say in the military, "perception is reality."

Welcome to the future: Digital Food Printer Creates Nutritious Meals. I wonder, will it be able to make a sandwich on nice Italian bread with prosciutto di parma, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, balsamic vinaigrette, and perhaps some assorted greens? If it can't do that, I don't have much use for it. On the serious, while that machine sounds pretty cool, I enjoy cooking as a hobby so I'm not sure it'll ever completely replace me in the kitchen, although I am lazy to cook sometimes...

I don't recall if I ever wrote about Alvin Greene in the past, but I'm sure some of you have heard of him by now. He's the democratic senate candidate in S.C. that nobody had heard of until he unexpectedly won the democratic primary. I haven't written about him, mostly because it's too easy, but also because I think it's a little sad and I feel bad for the guy. I mean, he seems genuinely mentally retarded, and I don't mean that in the, "Hey, quit being retarded" derogatory sense of the word. I mean I think he's actually got mental problems, mainly retardation. Like most retards (see Sean Penn, I Am Sam), he provides endless wells of humor, but like I said, I'd feel bad making fun of him for it. When I read about him today, however, I knew that I finally had to write about it. This is because he said he didn't get promoted because, and I quote, "I’m telling you who they promote: the terrorists and the communists. This is why we need to overhaul the military and get these people out." To which Allah hilariously wrote, "Which, of course, is a vile lie. It’s only terrorists who occasionally get promoted." Alvin Greene sounds like me, and for that he gets my blogs official endorsement. Also, he showed porn to an 18 year old girl on a college campus and lives with his parents. Can't help but love the guy, he really is awesome and amusing to no end.

This is just another example of a common tactic used against right-leaning blogs where people who disagree with the blogs will flag them for inappropriate content. Google and Youtube both have automated systems that take down the content once it's been flagged and thus, the content is squashed at least temporarily. At the same time as this happens, blogs and videos by literal terrizt groups are open and hosted just fine on youtube and google. Put simply: If you host a video condemning radical islamic terrizm archaeology, your video will be taken down for offensive content, but if you show literal beheadings and attacks on Americans and Israelis, you are left alone. If you don't believe me, feel free to take a look at the two videos at the bottom of the page I just linked to. I am not a fan of Michelle Malkin, but there's no doubt she's right in this case; watch the videos yourself.

Speaking of censorship, the most depraved example I have ever seen of censorship is being employed in Palestine against the legendary Euro-disco group, Boney M. You know, the ones that sing "Daddy Cool" and "The Rivers of Babylon" which was covered by Sublime. Well looks like they won't be singing "The Rivers of Babylon" in Ramallah, for fear of offending the archaeology loving people of the West Bank. Note: Boney M. isn't censoring themselves, they were asked by management NOT to sing the song and they are disappointed by that decision.

Worst 11 Year Old Evah?: Jessica Slaughter uses language that the 10 year old from Kick-Ass would be shocked by (not really though). Actually, they're about on par, only that one is fictional and the other is real. The first link is the original video, here comes the good stuff with her dad who looks like Sam Elliot but sounds like Randy Savage threatening the haters. From the dad, "Consequences will never be the same!" What does that even mean?

Do Japanese and Korean robots have slanty eyes and can they pronounce the letter L? I ask this because 'Mrrkin robots do not exist in the same capacity, sadly. Maybe we don't build robots like they do because we're tired of fighting them after the war in the Matrix and the Terminator series...

Some Jew reminds followers of the Sherrod case of the importance of reading. I still feel a little bit used and misled by Andrew Breitbart and his video of Sherrod speaking to the NAACP, but perhaps it's my own fault for being misled. Apparently, the article he wrote that accompanied the video did not focus on Sherrod, nor call for her to be punished. Rather, the focus was on the audience who seemingly agreed with her past racist actions. Point well taken, Jew, but I still feel used.

To start things off, I owe that woman from the NAACP an apology it seems. The video I saw seemed pretty damning, but upon checking out the full clip, it seems that I was a little misled. She went further in the full video to explain that she learned that her job isn't about helping somebody based on race, but by helping somebody based on his or her needs. So yeah, I jumped the gun, my bad.

Second: Posting that picture of the scantily clad beauty netted me a ton of hits, so in response, I'm going to have to keep that idea going.

REPRESENT! I saw this article today and thought it was actually going to be about coyotes (it sorta is) complete with pictures of cute little puppies and such, but then I started reading and saw that it mentioned the place I grew up, Westchester County, NY. I was visiting on leave when the coyote incidents took place (at least one of them). Aside from being predisposed to liking the article due to it refering to my home and talking about animals, I actually read the whole thing and found it to be a great read. It's not just about guns (which I also love), but freedom and all other sorts of 'Mrrkin shit (Lunch buffet at the titty bar not included). I wanted to pick out some quotes, but there were too many and I think it's worth reading in it's entirety.

Glenn Reynolds' monthly Popular Mechanics article is out and focuses on the war against photography. I'm not sure how much any of my readers know about this, so this is probably a good starting off point. I'll give a brief little intro: Basically, some events such as on-duty cops arresting bystanders for videotaping said cops in public places are taking place. Also, two reporters were banned from using the metro in some city (excuse my forgetfulness) for videotaping or something like that. Reason.com has been covering it a lot, I sometimes read about it, maybe I'm doing myself a disservice by maintaining an apathetic stance on the issue, but I guess I consider it a minor concern. I guess I'm just jaded.

To quote a famous Briton, "Mother should I trust the Government?" If this is where they get their facts, then hell no. That girl grinding her ass on that pole - that girl is somebody's daughter. Then again, she does need your help to pay for med school.

I'm sure most of you haven't heard of the whole Journolist thing, and I don't recall writing anything about it when the story first blew up on the blogs. Brief sum-up: There's a private server with 400 or so (mostly openly liberal) journalists who have to be invited to the group to become a member. A vengeful or perhaps frustrated member of the list decided to publish some of the archives, namely ones written by WaPo's conservative beat writer Dave Weigel, which in turn exposed that he was a terrible choice for reporting the conservative beat, and seemed to resent those who he covered.  I'm not going to provide links, you all can go look it up yourself if you want to read more about that. The more scandalous part of the story was that it seemed like the group was intentionally trying to spin stories or silence stories from emerging into the national media spotlight, which is indeed dishonest, but I thought that those charges were a bit dubious at the time. Now some more journalist stuff has been leaked, and some of it is pretty damning. Below I will link to some good reading and reactions to the story.

I think some of the charges are still dubious; I don't think there's a liberal conspiracy in the media to hide stories that are harmful to the democrat agenda and intentionally overblow stories that are harmful to conservatives. But like Glenn said, keep this in mind the next time they try to tell you that people who oppose the policies of our president are racists. Racism used to be a hefty charge, but the way it gets thrown around today really robs it of it's meaning. It's shameful that a group of professional journalists would actually say things like:

"Pick one of Obama’s conservative critics, [Spencer] Ackerman  wrote, “Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”

Disgusting. Have your differences with Karl Rove, Fred Barnes, I do for sure. Call them racist if they're being racist, but the reckless abandon with which Ackerman weilds the race-club is reprehensible to say the least. Bolded by me for emphasis.
