I have so much to be Thankful for that it is too much to list.
I am Thankful for the wonderful woman who shares my life; without her, my life would be empty.
I am Thankful for my four, healthy children and and my bonus son and daughter in laws who answered my most important question: what is life all about?
I am Thankful for my extended family who give me more pleasure than grief.
I am Thankful for our many dear friends, who enrich our lives almost everyday.
I am Thankful for the little community of people who come to visit ShrinkWrapped and read and comment; you add to my life immeasurably.
Most importantly I am Thankful to be living in the most wonderful experiment man has ever devised, the United States of America. My country is not perfect but it has sheltered and nurtured my family and my very extended family when almost every other nation on earth would have been all too happy to see us disappear. There is no greater nor more moral and ethical nation on the planet than the United States of America.
Finally, I am Thankful for the US military, who have freed more people from tyranny than any other force since man stood upright on the Savannah. Many of them are far from home, still protecting us, away from their families, on this quintessential American holiday. Keep them in your thoughts as you enjoy America's bounty on Thanksgiving, 2010.
