There are so many things to be thankful for on this most quintessential of American holidays. With all of our problems we remain the most successful experiment in self governance that has ever existed. We retain the ability to self correct when our leaders go too far astray and still allow for any individual to make the most of his abilities. A special thanks should go out to the brave men and women in our military who put their lives on the line everyday to keep us free. Their courage and sacrifice are humbling and inspiring.
I would also like to thank my readers and commenters, without whom I would be writing in a vacuum.
May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
For the next four days I plan on enjoying the company of most of my family (Oldest Son and his lovely spouse are coming in from Charlotte to join Only Daughter and her husband, Youngest Son, Mrs. SW and me for the holidays.) Only Middle Son can't join in the festivities (though he will be coming in for two weeks at Christmastime.)
Blogging will resume on Monday.
