A combination of unremitting work pressures and a very busy family schedule will require me to curtail blogging until the new year. My goal for now is to post my usual essay type of posts once or twice a week until the end of the year and, if possible, post shorter posts on my "off days." My typical posts take a fair amount of time to write and the time available to pursue my interests has diminished recently.
I plan on continuing to explore my thoughts on White Guilt in the long form but will not be able to do so today. In the meantime, consider this very disturbing development, noted by Gateway Pundit:

The Organisation of Islamic Conference at the UN contends that Muslims are at risk of a racial holocaust.
The group is pushing to make "defamation of Islam" a global criminal offence.
Many Americans based their recent Presidential votes on bringing America back into the good graces of the international community. Barack Obama has pledged to pursue a different kind of foreign policy designed to show the world that "America is back." The sad fact is that international affairs are ruled by the rules of the schoolyard: Might makes right. This means that those who are willing to use force to get their way will always get their way unless a more powerful force acts against them. If the United States is morally disarmed in the interests of a mythical international good, there will be no one to stand against those who do not treasure those values we hold dear. I suspect even the most naive politician will figure this our in due time (though Jimmy Carter never seemed to catch on) but it could be a very bumpy ride before the light goes on.
NB: I purposely reproduced an image that many Muslims find offensive because free speech must trump the sensitivities of the easily offended every time.
