For the second week in a row, the Watcher had to break a first place tie among Council Posts and for the second week in a row, he decided my post should be second. Luckily, for the second week in a row, the winning post was excellent so I can still retain some vestige of self-esteem. Rick Moran's “AS LONG AS WE’RE TALKING, WE’RE NOT SHOOTING AT EACH OTHER” is a superb exegesis of the vacuity of diplomacy which exists solely in order to make the Diplomats feel like they are doing something useful. My post, Changes, wondered if the pace of change has begun to hit escape velocity.
Among non-Council Posts, Is Islam waging war on the world? at Reconquista slogged through the numbers and graphed them so the mathematically challenged could see for themselves whether or not we are engaged in the global war against Islamic fascism that so many of us have begun to recognize. Once again, the Watcher had to break a tie and the brilliant effort by Cox & Forkum, The Ahmadinejad Code, which must be seen to be appreciated, came in second.
As always, all the nominees can be found at the Watcher of Weasels and all will reward your time and effort.
