Another week, another collection of extraordinary posts.
Among the Council posts, Perspectives on Foreign Command of U.S. Forces by The Glittering Eye, took first place. It is a careful, very well researched, look at why American troops need to be kept under American command, much to the chagrin of those who hope that our sovereignty can some day be subordinated to the international community. Second place was Misogyny Day, by New Sisyphus, which is an eye opening re-examination of a past atrocity that we all thought we understood; it is a "must read."
Among non-Council posts, Los Angeles Dog Trainer Year in Review 2005 by Patterico's Pontifications, was Patterico doing what he does best. Two excellent posts tied for second place. We Love the Troops; But It's a Tough Love (#144) -- UPDATED, by Protein Wisdom, describes how the left, through the magic of post-modern deconstructionism, can "love the troops" while at the same time hoping they lose in Iraq. Stuck On Thought, by Maxed Out Mama, elucidates part of the reason the left so often seems to view the pretzel (or the Mobius Strip, perhaps) as a model for their thinking processes.
